When our 40 gallon tank turned green, we tried the chemicals, turning off the light for a couple of days, and nothing worked. This little guy was suggested by the guy at Petsmart. Boy did it do the trick.
Here are a few points that I like about the filter
With the built in pump, it adds a current to the water.
Once it's in the tank, you don;t need to do anything else.
It's in my freshwater tank, but I can use it in the saltwater, if needed.
It says, up to 75 gallons, it worked great in my 46gl tank
